Hotel Pasatiempo
While in Tamarindo we stayed at the lovely Hotel Pasatiempo. This little gem is tucked back off the main road in Tamarindo, and about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Although it is a little bit off the beaten path, there are several popular bars next door to the hotel, and one of the best restaurants at Tamarindo is right at the hotel.
Our room was very clean and had a queen size bed and a twin bed. I will say that the worst thing about this hotel was the rock hard mattresses which are WAY to common in Costa Rica. It honestly is like sleeping on a wooden board. The bathroom had a lovely tiled shower, and we had a front patio with two chairs, perfect for relaxing and admiring the gorgeous flowers!
My favorite part of the hotel was the very peaceful and beautiful pool area. The pool was surrounded by very lush plants and palm trees, and even had a mango tree growing overhead! We spent many hours relaxing by the pool, and cooling off (it was SO hot!)
For the price ($90 a night), I would recommend this hotel, and I am hoping to get the opportunity to stay there again!
